A Lamborghini Revuelto PPF install recently came through our Henderson shop, and this one was a little different than most — a factory matte paint finish paired with exposed carbon fiber accents, straight from a nearby dealership customer. Matte paint is less forgiving than gloss when it comes to damage. A rock chip or scuff on a matte hood doesn’t just chip the clear coat — it can leave a shiny spot that stands out against the flat finish, and that kind of repair is far more involved than a standard touch-up.
That’s why a full-body approach to paint protection film makes sense on a car like this. Covering the body broadly, rather than just high-impact zones, keeps the matte texture consistent and shields it from the debris that’s common on Henderson and Las Vegas freeways.

Southern Nevada’s high-UV, high-heat climate is hard on any paint, but matte finishes show oxidation and fading differently than gloss. Film adds a protective layer against UV, minor abrasion, and the road debris that’s constant on routes through Henderson, Summerlin, and the rest of the valley.
We describe it to customers this way: PPF is like a jacket, ceramic coating is like sunscreen. On a matte, carbon-trimmed supercar like the Revuelto, that jacket matters even more, because there’s no clear coat gloss to mask the kind of light surface damage film is built to prevent.
