In a gaffe that someone should have seen coming, billboards around Los Angeles for the Adult Swim show Children’s Hospital, which is essentially House but with more clown makeup and much less restraint, are being mistaken for ads for the city’s actual Children’s Hospital—even by the hospital’s staff. An internal email had to be sent around recently assuring the docs and nurses that the billboards “are in no way associated with CHLA.” Trust me, the brand imagery couldn’t be more different. Really, the show’s billboard has the Adult Swim logo where it’s pretty easy to see (unless, I suppose, you’re a typical California driver who doesn’t pay attention to anything).
